napkins
I spent a few months drawing on table napkins. One can view these napkins as records; records of moments in time, conversations, observations, quotes, feelings, words, or ideas.
The napkins are an interesting material because they can be unfolded to create a totally different image than the original. The unfolding of the napkin creates multiple layers and multiple faded images that lend themselves to different interpretations yet still considering the original image. The faded layers tell a type of story, detailing the process of altering the napkin and representing the changing nature of the napkin over time.
